2019 was an important year on legislative matters affecting Canada’s charitable sector. This session will include an overview of the work of the CAGP Government Relations Committee by Chair, Grant Monck including highlights of CAGP’s impact over the years. Newly-appointed to the federal government’s Advisory Committee on the Charitable Sector, Susan Manwaring and Terry Carter will report on that Committee’s mandate and its important work moving forward, particularly related to many of the recommendations from Catalyst for Change: A Roadmap to a Stronger Charitable Sector, the Report of the Special Senate Committee on the Charitable Sector released in June 2019.
